Great Parks and Playgrounds in Cherry Hill

Parks and playgrounds we love in Cherry Hill Sponsored by Songbird Karaoke, Collingswood NJ

By Holli Carlin May 25, 2021

We are lucky in Cherry Hill to have so many great playgrounds and parks to explore. From swings to slides, to climbing walls and water features, Cherry Hill parks and playgrounds keep my kids active, are a great place to meet old friends (and make new friends!), and they're FREE!

I often see tons of others parents asking about parks to go to with their kids. I visited each park and took photos of the parks so you have an idea what it offers.

Still Park

Merchant Street, Cherry Hill

What we love about Still Park:

This park is like the hidden gem of Cherry Hill parks. I have lived in this area for 32 years and I have NEVER been to this park. It seems to be a common trend for many parents as well when they visit Still Park. I love that it also has a bikee bath/walking path that goes around the entire park. It also features a basket ball court, a picnic area with a pavilion and lots and lots of space! This is very easily our #1 park.

  • Pavilion/Picnic Area & Tables throughout the Park
  • Lots of Shade & Trees
  • Walking/Bike Path
  • ADA Accessible
  • Trash and Recycle Bins
  • Basketball Court

Merchantville Park

Somerset Ave, Merchantville, NJ

What we love about Merchantville Park:

Not many people know about the Merchantville Community center but it really is an amazing find! The park is settled on a large piece of land with tons of space for the kids to run and play. I love going there because of the ample parking and the main playground equipment is relatively huge!

Barlow Park

Victor Ave, Cherry Hill

What we love about Barlow Park:

Barlow park is a small park. Its usually pretty empty so if you have little ones, this is a good park to go to since the crowds are rarely there. There is a large soccer field and running area for the kids along with a softball field and basketball court. There was a porta-pottie there when we went and my son did use it, but I do not know how often it is there.

Amenities at Barlow Park

  • Basketball Court
  • Large Field
  • Picnic Area
  • Small Wooded Area
  • Trash Bins
  • Soccer Field
  • Swings
  • Softball Field
  • Porta-Pottie

Mountwell Park

Center Street, Haddonfield

What we love about Mountwell Park:

This park was a pleasant surprise. From the gated park to the sand play area to all the toys around for the kids to play with. It was also a toddler parents dream! The fence goes all around and although there was a spot in the back that the fence was broken, looks like parents placed some items in front of it to deter the kids. However, I would be very cautious if your child goes back there because it won't take much for a small child to get past the broken boards and into the forest area behind.

Amenities at Mountwell Park

  • GATED PARK
  • Adjacent Baseball field
  • Seating
  • Sand Play Area
  • Trash Bins
  • Lots of community toys
  • Swings
  • 2 play equipments
  • Lots of play equipment

Fullerton Memorial Park

Kelley Ave, Moorestown

What we love about Fullerton Memorial Park:

Welcome to the area playground gold mine! We're talking bathrooms, castle park, little kids area, gated area, tons of seating and shade. What isn't to love about this park? Was it made for kids in mind? Probably but let's be honest, kids will play with a cardboard box. This park was made to appeal to the parents and boy, does it deliver.

Amenities at Fullerton Memorial Park

  • GATED PARK
  • Castle Park design
  • Seating
  • Little Kids area
  • Trash Bins
  • Bathrooms
  • Swings
  • Lots of play equipment

Wellwood Park

W Maple Ave, Merchantville

What we love about Wellwood Park:

Meadow Brook Park

Cooper Ave, Pennsauken

What we love about Pennsauken Park:

Meadow Brook park has a relatively HUGE playground equipment that I have driven by for YEARS and never took notice. There is a walking path that surrounds the park with work out equipment sporadically placed. There is a tennis court and volley ball area. There is also a DOG PARK adjacent to the park. Right across the street is another smaller park located at the elementary school. It is not fenced so kids can play there.
