School is about to be over for many residents in South Jersey which means parents are looking for some activities to do with their kids. Enter the Little Explorers Summer Youth Program in Camden County.
The program is a child-caregiver classes at the Camden County Environmental Center in Cherry Hill, NJ. Through nature walks, demonstrations, and crafts, participants can cultivate an appreciation for the environment. Each session delves into a different nature or science topic. The program will start indoors to learn about the that days theme, then kids step outside to explore the gardens, trails, and park.
Some classes are split up by age group and some are not. You MUST register for each class you would like to participate in.
NOTE: You Must create an account in order to register for each class.
Classes are NOT drop-off.

Forest Stewards: Combating Invasive Species (ages 7 - 10 ) 9:30AM - 11AM
Don't miss out on an early morning journey to stay ahead of the summer heat! Little Explorers will become Forest Protectors and engage in the important duty of preserving our woodlands from invasive flora. Join us as we uncover and recognize common intruders right here at our Eco Center. Through interactive activities, children will step into the role of defenders, actively eradicating these threats to ensure a healthier forest ecosystem.

Nature Journaling: Little Naturalists (ages 3 - 6) 9:30AM - 11AM
Embark on an early morning escapade to outsmart the rising temperatures! Foster your young adventurer's ability to observe, create, and connect with the environment through nature journaling! As they evolve into Little Naturalists, they will learn to document their nature encounters during a guided walk. Little Naturalists will illustrate their observations and partake in creative tasks with assistance. This journey ensures to be a rewarding and lasting memory for every nature enthusiast!
