Let’s be real—FREE might just be the most beautiful word in the English language when you’re a parent. Well, South Jersey, get ready to hear that magical word a whole lot come May 3rd!
Enter: FREE Comic Book Day! Yep, it’s a real thing. Every year on the first Saturday in May, comic book stores across the country celebrate by giving out free comics (cue the parental happy dance). It started about 20 years ago as a way to get more folks into comic shops, and now over 2,000 stores participate. That’s a lot of free paper for your kids to enjoy reading!
Because I love you (and I also love organized chaos), I scoured the internet and put together a tidy little list of all the South Jersey comic shops participating in Free Comic Book Day. You're welcome.
Quick heads-up: yes, it’s free—but some stores might have limits on how many comics you can snag or which titles are available. So definitely check with the stores before promising your kid they can take home the entire Marvel universe.
