Get ready for an action-packed weekend in Downtown Haddonfield as the community celebrates Haddy, the town's cherished dinosaur! The festivities will highlight the 21st anniversary of the Haddy Bronze Sculpture and the 40th year since the historical marker was placed at the Marl Pit on Maple Avenue.
The festivities kick off with DJ Frank, Dance Haddonfield, and the Library Book Bike at the Masonic Lodge on Kings Highway from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Kids can dive into fun crafts while grooving to DJ Frank's beats. Plus, the Library Book Bike will be there to encourage reading and distribute some Dino-themed goodies (while supplies last).
At 5:30 p.m., Kings Court will come alive with a Dog Parade where pet owners can flaunt their adorable pups dressed in dinosaur costumes. This event is not to be missed, as prizes will be awarded for the best-dressed dogs.
The musical vibes continue in Kings Court with Jessica & Matt taking the stage at 6 p.m.! The evening's highlight will be the "Happy Birthday, Haddy!" celebration at 6:30 p.m. near the Bronze Sculpture. Mayor Bianco Bezich will host the event, featuring special guests like Dr. Lacovara from Edelman Fossil Park & Museum, Congressman Norcross, renowned artist and sculptor John Giannotti, and HATCH founder Butch Breeze.
Treat yourself to some delicious goodies from Sweet T’s Bakery (while supplies last).
At 7 p.m., join us for a screening of Jurassic Park in the Mechanic Street Parking Lot, hosted by the Haddonfield Police Department. Bring your chairs and blankets for a cozy movie night!
Bayada will be handing out free candy while supplies last.
